ARTICLE TYPES

 

Article types are a way of organising articles into manageable groups. For example you may have an Article Type called ‘News’, under which you store all your news articles, or you might choose to store all the articles under a particular menu such as ‘Support’ under one Article Type. Select the relevant article type from the drop-down menu.

 

To add a new article type click Articles under the Site Content menu and then click the Add Article Types button in the toolbar.

Enter a name for the article type and a short description - if required.

Of all the fields on this screen the most important is the Parent Article Type as it is possible to build up a hierarchical structure of article types. Leaving this as the default (No Parent) will ensure this article type is a 'top-level' article type.
